Covid-19 Update 5/15/20

What we are doing to keep you and our team safe

As we reopen our doors at Academy Dental, we’re not just following the guidelines laid out by the B.C. CDC; we’re setting new standards. The health and safety of our patients and team have always been our top priorities, and in these times, our commitment is even stronger. We are here to provide you with the same compassionate care you have known, now with enhanced safety measures that go above and beyond.

Change, while necessary, can be daunting. We’ve refined every aspect of your visit – from scheduling to payment processing – ensuring these changes bring peace of mind rather than overwhelm. Below, we outline our comprehensive safety measures, now including a visual guide to help you easily understand our new protocols. Together, with patience and positivity, we’ll navigate this new landscape.

  1. Entrance Screening: Every visit starts with a COVID-19 prescreening, ensuring a safe environment from the get-go.
  2. Reimagined Waiting Areas: We’re making social distancing seamless, offering alternatives for those accompanying minors or patients needing support.
  3. Clutter-Free & Clean: Gone are the magazines and communal items. Hand sanitizers stand ready throughout the clinic for your use.
  4. Universal Masking Policy: A mask is your passport into our clinic, a simple step with profound impact.
  5. Sneeze Guards: Our reception now boasts an additional layer of protection, because every detail matters.
  6. Sanitization Stations: Mandatory hand hygiene for everyone, reinforcing our collective defense.
  7. Pre-Appointment Prep: An oral pre-rinse for all patients, reducing germs and easing minds.
  8. Straightforward Payments: To limit interactions, payment in full is requested at the time of service. Rest assured, we’ll navigate the insurance maze for you.
  9. Next-Level Operatory Hygiene: Post-appointment, we leave no nook or cranny uncleaned, thanks to advanced fogging technology.
  10. Enhanced Protective Gear: Our team’s new look includes state-of-the-art PPE because their safety supports yours.
  11. Aerosol Management: High-tech solutions minimize airborne particles, keeping the air you breathe cleaner.
  12. Nightly Deep Cleans: Every surface, every day, disinfected with the utmost care.
  13. Mail & Package Protocol: Even deliveries undergo a thorough sanitization process before entering our space.
  14. Extended Appointment Times: More time per visit means meticulously prepared and executed care, without rush or risk.

Your questions and concerns are important to us. Feel free to reach out as we navigate these changes together. We’re excited to see you again and are committed to your health and safety in every aspect of our care.

Warmest regards,
The team at Academy Dental
